Alkaline dust off the dry lake does two things to Adelanto windows. It packs the tracks solid, and it hazes the glass faster than dust does elsewhere, so the interval between cleans that looks acceptable is shorter here.
The upside is that most Adelanto homes are newer with consistent layouts and modern windows, which makes them quick to do properly and usually keeps the quote at the lower end of our range.

Quarterly if you are near El Mirage, twice a year further in. The dry lake dust hazes glass faster than ordinary dust, so the interval that looks fine elsewhere is too long here.
Yes, in every exterior clean. Leaving grit in a screen undoes the glass within a week, so charging separately for it never made sense to us.
