Window Cleaning, Hard Water and Pigeon Proofing in Spring Valley Lake, CA

Its own place, its own water, its own page.

Most companies list Victorville and never come to the lake. We treat Spring Valley Lake as what it is: a separate community with mineral heavy irrigation, big lake facing glass and roofs the birds love. Window cleaning, hard water restoration, solar panel cleaning, pigeon proofing and screens, no trip fee.

Spring Valley Lake

Why the lake is a different job from the rest of the valley

Spring Valley Lake sits between Hesperia and Apple Valley, wrapped around a private lake and a golf course, and it is the one place in the Victor Valley where almost every window we look at has the same problem. The irrigation water is heavy in minerals. Sprinklers throw it onto the lower glass, the sun dries it in minutes, and a few hundred repeats later the bottom third of the pane has a cloudy band that no amount of Windex touches. It is not dirt. It is a mineral deposit, and on the older lakefront homes it has been building for decades.

The second thing is the glass itself. Lake facing homes were built for the view, so the panes are tall, wide and often two stories up. Cleaning them properly means a water fed pole with purified water from the ground, not a ladder on a wet deck and a squeegee that leaves a film for the next dust storm.

The third is birds. Water, shade and a warm roof are everything a pigeon wants, and a solar array on a lakefront roof gives them all three. We get more pigeon proofing calls per street here than in most of Victorville.

On Google and on Meta, Spring Valley Lake is its own targetable place. Companies that only list Victorville never reach it. That is why you are reading this page and not theirs.

Around the lake

What we usually find, by part of the community

Lakefront homes

Tall view glass, two story, sprinklers on the water side. Hard water restoration on the lower panes is the standard first visit, then a regular clean keeps it clear.

Golf course homes

Overspray from course adjacent irrigation on the fairway side, and dust from the open ground behind. Window cleaning with screens off and tracks done makes the biggest difference here.

Equestrian estates on the south side

Bigger lots, outbuildings, more roof and more glass. Solar arrays are large and the pigeon pressure is high. One visit for the array, the panels and the house glass.

Interior streets

Standard single and two story homes with builder screens that have gone brittle in the sun. Screen re-mesh on site, $64.99 a screen, sliding doors roughly double.

FAQ

Spring Valley Lake questions

Do you actually come out to Spring Valley Lake, or is it a Victorville drive charge?

We come out, and there is no trip fee. Spring Valley Lake is between Hesperia and Apple Valley, about fifteen minutes from our base. Most companies list Victorville and assume it covers the lake. It does not, on Google or on the ground, which is why we treat it as its own place with its own page.

Why are my lakefront windows cloudy near the bottom when the rest of the glass is fine?

Mineral. The irrigation water around the lake is heavy in dissolved minerals, and every time a sprinkler head throws onto the lower glass and the sun dries it, a little more is left behind. After a few summers it stops being spots and becomes a band. A normal wash does not touch it. Restoration does, and we test one pane free before quoting.

Can etched glass be brought back?

Stage one deposits, which is most of what we see at the lake, come off completely. Stage two, where the mineral has started to react with the glass surface, can be improved a lot but not fully erased, and replacement is the only complete fix. The free test pane is how we find out which you have, and we tell you before you pay for the rest.

Do you do the big view windows on the lake side?

Yes. Tall lake facing glass on two story homes is reached with a water fed pole from the ground, so nobody is leaning a ladder against the house or walking a wet deck. Purified water dries clear with nothing left behind, which matters most on the panes you actually look through.

We get birds on the roof because of the water. Is that a pigeon proofing job?

Pigeons under solar panels, yes, and lakefront roofs get more of them because the water and the shade under the array are both close. We clear the nesting, clip rust resistant mesh to the frame with no drilling, and warranty it for two years. Waterfowl on the lawn are a different matter and not something we can fix.

Does the association have rules about this kind of work?

Nothing we do changes the look of the house or touches the structure. Mesh is clipped, not bolted, and sits flush to the panel line. Screens keep their original frames. We leave the driveway and walkway clean. If your association wants a certificate of insurance before contractors work on the property, we send one.
