Home/Morongo Basin/Solar Panel Cleaning
Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree and the Morongo Basin, by requestSolar Panel Cleaning in Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree
$7 a panel, purified water, nobody walks on your array. Grid tied or off grid, on a Morongo Basin route day.
The Morongo Basin runs on sun, and a lot of it runs on panels: grid tied arrays on the Yucca Valley tracts, big retrofit systems on the Joshua Tree view homes, and off grid arrays in Landers and out toward Wonder Valley where the panels are the power. All of them sit under the same sky, which drops dust on them every afternoon the wind runs and almost never sends rain to rinse it. A purified water wash is how the number in your app goes back up.

Window cleaning $149 / $249
The base price covers 10 to 12 windows on a single story or 18 to 20 on a two story. Past that it's more glass, more screens and more tracks to do right, so it's a flat $39 more, single or two story.
One flat $49 for every window inside the house, with the tracks vacuumed and wiped dry. Most companies charge by the window for inside work. We're already there with the water and the tools, so doing the inside costs you far less than a separate visit.
Big custom homes vary a lot. Extra panes and screens are counted on site or from a satellite view, and inside and out can run $499 to $599 on some homes. You get the exact price from Tony before anything starts, so there are no surprises on the day.
What you get. More light in every room, a clear view, screens and tracks that slide the way they should, and glass that lasts because hard water never gets the chance to etch it.
Why now. Dust and sprinkler overspray build up fast up here. A cleaning every 3 to 6 months keeps hard water from setting into the glass.
Pigeon proofing $450+
Cheaper crews screw or bolt mesh into the panel frame or the roof. Every hole is a spot for water and a reason for a solar company to deny a warranty claim. Our clips grip the inner lip of the frame, hold in High Desert wind, and come off clean if a panel ever needs service.
Pick one so the price is right. A two story home adds $125.
$450 covers up to 12 panels. Each panel past that means more mesh, more clips, more cleanout under the array and one more panel to wash, so it's $50 a panel. Set your count in the panel box below.
2 to 3 spinners come free. A spinner's flash covers the side of the roof it faces, and a ridge blocks it, so bigger roofs or roofs with birds on both sides usually need one more. Tap "See what the spinners do" to watch it in 3D.
What you get. Birds out from under the panels, nests and droppings hauled away and the area sanitized so the smell goes too, panels washed, mesh clipped to the frame so nothing voids your panel warranty, and a lifetime workmanship warranty on the install, in writing.
Why now. Nests only get bigger. The longer the birds stay, the more there is to clean out, and the more droppings sit on the roof and the wiring.
Solar panel cleaning $7 a panel
What you get. Clean panels, and if we notice anything visible while we're up there, like a cracked panel or birds moving in, we point it out. $7 a panel, dried spot free.
Why now. There's almost no rain up here to rinse panels, so the dust stacks up and your output drops a little more every month.
Window screen repair per screen
The same class of mesh your builder used, installed and tensioned right. Clearest view and good airflow. Fine for shaded windows.
Heavy vinyl coated polyester, UV and weather resistant, made for outdoor sun. Holds up to desert sun, wind and pets better than standard fiberglass.
When a frame is bent, loose or missing corners, new mesh won't sit tight in it. We rebuild the frame to fit your window with new corners and clips, so the screen snaps in and stays. $10 a screen, with either mesh.
What you get. Air in and bugs out, a clearer view from inside, screens that pop in and out easily, and a 2 year warranty on the mesh.
Why now. UV runs about nine months a year up here. Builder mesh goes brittle, then the wind finishes it off.
Hard water removal from $12 a pane
Hard water is minerals bonded to the glass, so each pane is treated and polished by hand, pane by pane. We test one pane free first so you see the result before you decide on the rest.

How to tell it's time
- Windows. Spots when the sun hits the glass, screens that look gray, or more than 6 months since the last clean.
- Solar panels. No wash in the last 6 months, or a sunny day in your solar app reading lower than it used to.
- Pigeons. Birds on the roof, droppings on the tile or driveway, cooing under the panels, or a sharp ammonia smell in the heat. They don't leave on their own.
- Screens. Tears, holes, mesh that bows out of the frame or crumbles when you press it.

How we clean your panels
- Purified deionized water and a soft brush on a water fed pole.
- Nobody walks on your panels. The pole reaches every row.
- Dries spot free, with no mineral film left blocking light.
- Visible issues pointed out. A twenty panel home is usually $140 to $160.
How a basin array gets cleaned
Purified water is pumped up a pole to a soft brush. The brush loosens the film, the pure water carries it off, and because there are no minerals in the water the panels dry with nothing on them. Nobody steps on a module. If we notice anything visible, like a cracked panel, lifted flashing, or feathers and droppings at the array edge that mean birds have moved in, you hear about it before we leave. If it is work we do, like pigeon proofing, you get a price first.
Three kinds of systems out here
Grid tied tract arrays
Arrays on the newer Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms homes, often facing two ways. A 24 panel wash is $168, and paired with the windows on the same stop the visit clears the $249 minimum.
Off grid systems
Landers, Flamingo Heights and the homesteads have ground mounts and roof arrays charging batteries. Ground mounts need no roof access at all.
View home arrays
Joshua Tree and Pioneertown homes with bigger systems on a low roof. A 36 panel array is $252 and stands on its own, and the glass below it is usually the other reason we are there.
What solar cleaning costs in the Morongo Basin
Every panel is $7, the same as in Hesperia, and the drive is not added on. A basin visit needs $249 of work: an array of 36 panels or more gets there alone at $252, and a smaller one rides along with a window cleaning or screens. A 24 panel wash plus a single story window cleaning, for example, is $317. The ticket above shows plainly when a quote is under the line.
Rentals and second homes do well on the twice a year plan at 15% off each visit, timed to the basin route days, with photos texted when the array is done. Book on our website and the first visit is 10% off.
What else we look for
Pigeons like a solar array in the basin for the same reasons they like one in Hesperia: shade, dry, out of the wind. If we find them during a wash you get a firm price on the spot. Pigeon proofing is $450 for up to 12 panels with the cleanout, clipped steel mesh, 2 to 3 spinners and the panel wash included, and it meets the basin minimum on its own.
Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree solar cleaning questions
How much is solar panel cleaning in Yucca Valley or Joshua Tree?
$7 a panel with purified water, no trip fee. A 20 panel array is $140, a 36 panel array is $252. Visits this far out have a $249 minimum, so a smaller array pairs with a window cleaning or screens on the same stop.
Do you clean off grid arrays and ground mounts?
Yes. Ground mounts need no roof access, and roof arrays with batteries behind them get the same purified water wash. We do not touch the electrical side; panels, frames and the glass are what we clean.
How often should basin panels be washed?
Twice a year keeps up with most roofs here, with the spring wind season the time it matters most. Rentals that sit under a lot of dust do better every 3 months, at 25% off each visit on the plan.
Is my requested day confirmed when I send the quote?
Not yet, it is a request. Solar washes out here ride on the same route days as other basin work, so Tony texts you the date and a morning or afternoon window, and the visit is set only once he confirms it with you.
Have you cleaned solar in Yucca Valley or Joshua Tree before?
Not yet. The solar photos on this page come from our High Desert jobs, each labeled with its real town. The first Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree arrays get the same purified water wash, the same $7 a panel and the same written terms as every other customer, and their photos replace these once the homeowners say yes.
